Brenden Smith storms to Top-10 Indiana Icebreaker outing with Lucas Dirt

With Friday's event at Atomic Speedway (Chillicothe, Ohio) pushed to Sunday afternoon, Brenden Smith opened up two days with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Saturday at Brownstown (Ind.) Speedway for the Indiana Icebreaker.

After falling behind in his heat race, Smith did not transfer out of his B-Main and was forced to a take a provisional to start the $25,000-to-win show. Brenden then went on a furious charge through the field to wind up inside the Top-10 in eighth.

Brenden ended the doubleheader with a 17th-place outing at Atomic.
