Brenden Smith scores strong sixth-place finish in Ocala Speedway finale

Brenden Smith unloaded the JCM Motorsports No. 19M machine at Ocala (Fla.) Speedway to kick off the longest stretch of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Speedweeks as he joined a field of 36 Super Late Models for the first of five race nights at the facility.

Recording finishes of 12th and 13th in the $7,000-to-win non-points races, Smith then finished 21st during the first Lucas Oil points night before he lost Friday’s show to Mother Nature. Brenden saved his best run for Saturday night as he stormed from 16th-to-6th in the $25,000-to-win finale to earn a Top-10 finish.
