Hughes 13th in Diamond Nationals finale at Lucas Oil Speedway
Making the march out to the Midwest, the JCM Motorsports team followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa) on Thursday afternoon to kick off a three-day weekend across Iowa and Missouri.
Finishing 17th in the Thursday show, Spencer Hughes moved his focus to Friday and Saturday's Diamond Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.).
Finishing second in a heat race, Hughes made the weekend opener and faded to finish 18th. On Saturday, Spencer picked up a heat race win, but once again fell back in the main event and finished 13th after 50 laps.
