Spencer Hughes races into Lucas Dirt shows during Illinois Speedweeks
Starting off his Illinois Speedweek on Wednesday, Spencer Hughes joined FloRacing Night in America at Spoon River Speedway (Canton, Ill.) for a $20,000-to-win show.
After getting shuffled back in his heat race, Hughes was unable to race his way into the main event.
Skipping to Friday's Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series show at Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway, Spencer raced his way into the 74-lap main event and finished 18th.
The JCM Motorsports team closed the weekend with a 24th-place finish in the $30,000-to-win Spring Shootout at Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway.
