Spencer Hughes scores podium finish with Lucas Oil at All-Tech Raceway

Starting off his week on Tuesday afternoon, Spencer Hughes joined the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.) for the series's Speedweeks debut.

Hughes started towards the back of the field and was an early retiree on lap 26.

Back with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Thursday night, the JCM Motorsports team rolled into the All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) pit area for the first night of Winter Nationals.

Finishing 17th in the $10,000-to-win opener, Spencer found some speed on Friday night as he topped his qualifying group and took home a heat race victory. Starting from the front-row with $12,000 on the line, Hughes led the first 28 laps before giving up the top spot. Spencer held onto the third spot for a podium finish while Ricky Thornton Jr. and Daulton Wilson snuck ahead of him.

Hughes made the weekend finale and finished just outside the Top-10 in 11th.
