Hughes scores Top-10 at Lernerville; sixth-place finish in Fireball 50 with Outlaws
Set for a three-race swing up North, Spencer Hughes found himself at Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pa.) on Wednesday afternoon for the fourth round of the Castrol FloRacing Night in America miniseries.
Charging from fifth-to-second in his heat race, Hughes started 12th in the $20,000-to-win main event and made up two spots to land inside the Top-10.
Heading into Ohio to join the World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Models for the weekend, Hughes unloaded at Atomic Speedway (Chillicothe, Ohio) for the Fireball weekend. Finishing 18th during night one, Hughes picked up the pace for $15,000 on Saturday and scored a sixth-place finish in the 50-lap feature.
