JCM Motorsports competes in One for the Road and Prairie Dirt Classic at Fairbury
Kicking off his Prairie Dirt Classic weekend early, Spencer Hughes and the JCM Motorsports team checked into Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway on Wednesday afternoon for the $20,000-to-win One for the Road with FloRacing Night in America.
Laying down the sixth-fastest lap in his group, Hughes started second in his heat race but fell back to fourth after eight laps. Picking up a transfer spot in his B-Main, Spencer started 24th in the 50-lap A-Main and finished 18th.
Primed to tackle the main event of the weekend, Hughes kicked off his PDC weekend by qualifying 16th-fastest in his group and placing 10th in his prelim feature.
Needing a Top-2 finish in his last chance showdown to make the A-Main, Hughes started eighth and slipped back to 12th when the checkers flew.
