Hughes scores Top-10 outing with Lucas Oil at Muskingum County Speedway; sixth at Lincoln Speedway
Losing Friday's event at Portsmouth (Ohio) Raceway Park, the JCM Motorsports team joined the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Saturday afternoon at Muskingum County Speedway (Dresden, Ohio) for the Freedom 60.
Laying down the fourth-quickest lap in his stacked qualifying group, Hughes started second in his heat race but fell to fourth. Rolling off 15th in the $20,000-to-win main event, Spencer used all 60 laps to move into the Top-10 and record an eighth-place finish.
On Monday afternoon, Hughes stopped into Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway on Monday afternoon for the second Castrol FloRacing Night in America event of the season. Starting the $20,000-to-win feature from the fifth-row, Spencer finished just outside the Top-5 in sixth.
