World Finals brings JCM Motorsports to The Dirt Track at Charlotte
Joining the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series for their finale weekend, Spencer Hughes unloaded the JCM Motorsports No. 19 at The Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, N.C.) for the first night of the World Finals.
On qualifying night, Hughes clocked in fifth-fastest for Thursday while slipping back to 14th-quickest in Friday's group.
Making his first competitive laps on Thursday, Spencer missed the A-Main transfer spot by just two positions in his Last Chance Showdown.
For another $15,000-to-win show on Friday, Hughes moved into a transfer position during his heat race which earned a spot on the starting grid. In the 35-lap main event, Spencer recorded a 16th-place finish.
With Saturday's $25,000-to-win finale on tap, Spencer fell back deep in his heat race which buried him in his B-Main. Despite making up three positions in the Last Chance Showdown, Hughes fell short with a sixth-place finish.
