Top-5 outing in Cotton Pickin' 100 at Magnolia with Comp Cams

Returning to the JCM Motorsports No. 19M on Friday evening, Wil Herrington invaded Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) for the first night of the Cotton Pickin' 100 with the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series.

With 46 Late Models checked in, Herrington fell back in his heat race and was unable to wheel his way to a transfer spot in his B-Main which ended his night early.

Looking for a better showing on Saturday, Wil laid down the eighth-fastest lap in his qualifying group before charging forward in his heat race to secure the victory. For the $12,000-to-win weekend finale, Herrington started the 60-lap main event from fourth and ran as high as second before settling for a fifth-place finish. He trailed race-winner Ashton Winger while Cade Dillard, David Breazeale, and Neil Baggett filled in the Top-5.

Wil and the JCM Motorsports team return to Hunt The Front Super Dirt Series competition this weekend at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.).
