Pair of Top-5 finishes with Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Whynot

On Friday afternoon, Wil Herrington continued his 2023 title chase with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Miss.) for the House Divided 40 doubleheader weekend.

For the weekend opener, Wil qualified seventh-quickest before finishing fourth in a wild heat race. Rolling off from the fifth-row in the $5,000 main event, Herrington charged forward six spots to land on the podium in third. He trailed Trey Mills and Payton Freeman while Josh Putnam and Neil Baggett rounded out the Top-5.

With another $5,000-to-win show on tap Saturday, Herrington earned the fourth-place starting spot in the feature via the redraw after winning his heat race. For the second 40-lap main event of the weekend, Wil recorded a fourth-place outing behind Neil Baggett, Payton Freeman, and Josh Putnam while Kyle Beard completed the Top-5.

Wil currently leads the HTFSDS point standings.
