Herrington fourth in Governor's Cup at Magnolia
After Friday’s opener succumbed to persistent rain, Wil Herrington returned to the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series on Saturday afternoon for the 20th annual Governor’s Cup.
With 45 Late Models packed in the pit area for the rain-shortened program, Herrington earned a front-row starting position after winning his heat race. For the $10,000 main event, Herrington led the first 13 laps before hooking the inside berm which caused him to spin. Wil rallied in the final 12 laps to land a fourth-place finish.
